In 2008 we held a large charity fashion show that took place in December at Tokyo nightclub to raise funds for The Forget Me Not Trust.

 

It attracted over 200 people and many local designers including Kevan Jon. This was hugely successful and attracted the support and publicity of many local newspapers and regional businesses. The fashion show was held in memory of Shannen as she was one of the main models before she sadly passed away. On the night it turned out to be a very sophisticated lively night that was enjoyed by everyone!
 
In 2009 this was proudly followed by a sponsored walk which was completed by over 100 people walking 7 miles.

 

This attracted people of all ages to show their love and support for Shannen and the chosen charities which were The Joseph Salmon Trust and The Forget Me Not Trust. This was a one day spectacular that allowed the whole local community to come together on a glorious day on Shannen’s anniversary. This event raised again £2,000 which was then maximised to £3,000 with a generous donation of £1,000 from TK Maxx.

Overall we have raised £5,000 ourselves for the charities but also done extra for them such as volunteered to bucket collect at certain events. We are hoping to go from strength to strength each year with many events to come!
